Not everything figured out — just the few things I'm sure of when the rest goes dark. Out now on every platform.
I never really fit — not in the room, not in the crowd, not even in church half the time.
I made my own mistakes. I carried my own mess. The faith I'd built my songs on went quiet on me, and for a long stretch I was sure that disqualified me. I don't want people to see church in me. I want them to see Jesus. This music is for the broken — the ones who don't fit and figure they're too far gone.

Not in the room, not in the crowd, not even in church half the time.
I made my own mistakes. I carried my own mess. And for a long stretch I was sure that disqualified me from the very thing I felt called to do. The faith I'd built my life and my songs on went quiet on me. I kept singing the words while privately not sure I believed them anymore. For someone whose whole calling is pointing people to Jesus, that nearly ended me.
I'm Blake Reynolds — independent Christian artist, fifteen-plus years in, and I'm done pretending the road was clean. It started in my dad's church in Howard City, Michigan, in 2006. A kid with a bass, more nerve than skill, and a feeling he didn't belong that never fully went away. I went solo in 2018 with "No Other Name," then "I Believe," then "Empty" — the one that finally connected. I've also spent time on staff at Tribl Records.
"This Is What I Know" comes from that place — not everything figured out, just the few things I'm sure of when the rest goes dark. I don't write from the mountaintop. I write from the climb back up.
This music is for the broken. The outcasts. The ones who don't fit and figure they're too far gone. That's who I'm singing to. That's the one I'm going after. If those are the people in your room, I'd be honored to stand in front of them.
